The story of King Nal
When Maharishi Gautam arrived at the palace gates of King Nal, he immediately made the sage sit on a respectable seat. He offered him water and good fresh food; the king’s behavior touched the heart of Sage Gautam. Out of curiosity, the king asked him about his own self.
Sage Gautam closed his eyes to see what was not seen by the king and after a few moments, he opened them. He disclosed that in the previous life, the king was a normal human being who devotedly chanted and did sadhana of Lord Ganesha’s ekakshari mantra (one syllable Beej mantra). This revelation clicked something within King Nal and he started chanting again, further progressing his kingdom into betterment and attaining good karma as well.
The story of King Chitrangad
The kingdom of Malav was ruled by King Chitrangad who deeply loved his wife, Indumati. He never desired to fall in love with anyone else nor could any woman entice him to leave Indumati. His love story was well known but some people could not stay out of jealousy.
