True! Thread ceremonies in my family are an event of calling guests, lavish eating and showing mehmaan-nawazi. Well, I enjoy it as I get good things to eat. 🤙 From the spiritual point of view, in my opinion, neither the person who is offering the thread (father) or the person who receives it (son, not a daughter, irony) understand this ritual. Frankly, till yesterday even I thought it's a rubbish time-money waste. Somehow the son was eligible and no thread-ceremony has ever been talked about for me or my sister or any of the females I know.
